At the time, the band consisted of Jack Spooky and Peggy, who had previously been in the band Dororo together (as Shati and MeiLa / Chihime / Janome / Peggy), Cheney Jr. and Schtein. Sometime in 2003 Cheney Jr. and Schtein left the band and Zull, who had been in Art Marju Duchain, a band which Peggy had worked with, and Nookicky (as Yuzuru), joined as the guitarist. At the same time Zull was in another band called Monaural Curve and Peggy support bassist of 2nd effect. They released their first maxi single “Pumpkins Scream in the Dead of Night Parade” in March 2004. The single was produced and distributed by the band through their own label called “Candy Makers”, which meant that there were very few copies of it. The single came with a sticker and a photo of the band (only the copies from Like an Edison had this). One of the songs on the single, “Devilish Kidnapper”, had previously been recorded as a Dororo demo. During that year, Jack and Peggy also performed as part of the session band, Kurogumi, with Sowa, Sisen, Motoki (2nd effect) and Tak (Calmando Qual). The band performed at a few lives, at which they covered songs by other artists, but never released anything together. In February 2005, The Candy Spooky Theater played their first live as part of “Party Monsters Collection 01” – the first of their “Party Monsters” events and played various other lives around Tokyo and Nagoya in places such as Shinjuku Loft, Takanobaba AREA, Narciss and Shinjuku Holiday. They also distributed a comment CD with a message from Tsutomu (the doll they often have with them at lives and photoshoots) and a song called “Melancholy” at a live, which was not released on any other CD. Their second maxi single “Wonderland” was released September 9th and their third, “Murderland”, was released a few months later on October 31st through XXX Records and Candy Makers. Prior to the release of each single, the band participated in an “in-store event” at Like an Edison in Tokyo, at which they signed CDs and talked to their fans. Both maxi singles were limited to 1000 copies and came with a sticker and photo. 2006 saw more shows for the band including an event sponsored by BLOOD, TCST's own“Party Monsters Collection 04”event and "Zull Fes.", at which Zull performed in the session band as a vocalist along with Miya (from Gazelle, on guitar), Kenka (from Calmando Qual, on bass) and Jhonny Ace (from kharn, on drums). On May 6th they performed a three-man live, “Mikkai”, with Sugar and Calmando Qual. A free CD of the same name was distributed at this live and their song “Murder Factory in the Closet” was included on it. The band then began their first tour, “The Possessed Girl’s Bedroom”, performing in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka. On May 7th their fourth maxi single, “The Bedroom”, on which was a new version of “Murder Factory in the Closet” (re-named “Murder Toy in the Closet”) and two other tracks. The single was available in two versions; one with a purple cover, one with a blue cover. They again held an in-store event at Like an Edison to mark the release of this single. The tour continued and on September 9th they played their first one-man live, at Meguro Rokumei-kan. At this live they gave out a free DVD to everyone who attended, on which was the PV for “Exosist” (a song from “The Bedroom” single) and some live clips set to the song “Devilish Kidnapper”. They played at the “Halloween Eve Party” with Sinr, Schwarz lilie and DEAD MARIA on October 30th and at the Kamijo and Kisaki organized Halloween event with bands such as Rentrer en Soi, Lareine and 2nd effect the next day. They continued to tour, and, amongst other dates, played a live in November with Közi, Smells, Calmando Qual, and emmuree. January 18th saw TCST's first US interview on internet radio show Tainted Reality. It was also announced that Tainted Reality would be TCST's management in the US and following that, they played 3 lives on the east coast of the US in May 2007. Shortly after this announcement, on January 21st, TCST played their second one man live as part of their "Bride of Frankenstein" concept tour, at which they gave out another free DVD featuring the PV to "Nejimaki Denki Isu" and a clip of "Bordeaux After Midnight", which was also on the compilation CD "Darkest Labyrinth Vol. 2". The band also released their first album, "Living Dead Spooky Dolls Family in the Rock'n Child's Spook Show Baby!!", through German label Trisol on March 23rd. The album consisted of all the songs from their maxi singles and "Nejimaki Denki Isu", which was originally a Dororo song. This release was the first to be available internationally. TCST successfully played the three US live dates at the end of May 2007, and following this Zull left the band, having previously announced his decision on the band's official website. He was replaced by Kiddy Skeleton and the the band played their third one man live, and first live with Kiddy, on September 1st 2007. This was the first opportunity their fans had to see Kiddy and to hear the band's new songs. Their new single "Prince of Darkness" was also sold on pre-release at the live that day, and was officially released on October 1st. They also played at Tokyo Decadance's Halloween event on October 20th 2007. The band then returned to America to perform and do a Q&A session at the Pacific Media Expo from November 9th - 11th. Following this, at the end of November, they took part in two dates on emmuree's "loveletter -Dark Maniacs Parade.-" tour. 2008 brought yet more lives for the band, most notably their long-awaited first European tour. The consisted of six date between March 21st and March 30th; one mans at K17 in Berlin, Germany, Gloria in Helsinki, Finland, Tivoli de Helling in Utrecht, The Netherlands and KuFa in Krefeld Germany, along with appearences at The Death & Poetry Festival in Köln, Germany and a 2 man show with UK band Die So Fluid at Scheune in Nordhorn, Germany. The band took a pause for a few months due to jack Spooky's health, but announced they would be coming back when he had recovered. kiddy Skeleton then left the band on September 28th 2008, which was announced on both the mobile site and the newly created official PC site.
